LOOKING FOR WAYS YOUR BUSINESS CAN ASSIST ABC HOUSE? CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:
* Sponsor the inaugural "Runaway Pumpkin
Half Marathon on October 29th (more info.
coming soon).
* Have employees create gift baskets to raffle
off and donate the proceeds.
* Hold a pancake breakfast to raise funds for
ABC House.
* Donate a portion of a days sales. Many
restaurants and retailers do this.
* Have a drive for new children’s games, toys
and stuffed animals.
* For the holidays, do an auction at your
holiday party and donate the proceeds.
* Invite ABC House staff to speak to your
employees about child safety.

ABC House, a nonprofit child abuse assessment center serving Linn and Benton counties, has received several grants from local businesses and organizations to help support the fight against child abuse and neglect.
State Farm gave $3,500 for the ABC House Community Education Program.
This program’s main goal is educating middle and high school students and the community through presentations about child abuse and personal safety, on topics such as Internet safety, domestic and dating violence, and protecting infants from injury.
Funds for this program are also used to support Girls’ Group, a program for at-risk teenage girls that helps develop self-awareness and a positive body image...
