SPIRIT MOUNTAIN

Spirit Mountain Community Fund presented
ABC House a $12,500 check at a
ceremony on September 14th in Grand
Ronde Oregon at the Confederated Tribes
of Grand Ronde’s headquarters campus.    The grant funds will be used for the expansion of medical services to abused children in Linn and Benton counties.  It will allow more children to be seen by helping to hire a new part-time medical provider to work with Dr. Carol Chervenak, Medical Director.

The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde through the Spirit Mountain Community Fund fulfills their Native tradition of potlatch, a ceremony at which good fortune is distributed. The Spirit Mountain Community Fund’s focus is to improve the quality of life in Northwest Oregon through community investments that provide lasting benefits consistent with the Tribe’s culture and values.
Other funders helping with the Medical Services Project include the National Children’s Alliance, The Bill Healy Foundation,  and United Way of Benton County.

Pig Out BBQ Catering owners Sam and Kori Goff and children Bailey and Riley present a check for $1,000 to ABC House as a special holiday present.  Pig Out Barbeque provides the catering services for the annual Shooters Match benefit for ABC House.
